Terms & Conditions

Approving an estimate or invoice means you agree to these service terms.

Job scope and access

Scope of work

Work is performed as outlined in the estimate. Extra work needs approval and may add cost.

Access to work area

You agree to provide clear, safe access. We are not responsible for delays or added cost from restricted or unsafe conditions.

Pets and safety

You are responsible for securing pets and a safe work area. We are not liable for incidents involving unsecured animals or unsafe conditions.

Cleanouts and access points

If proper access is missing, extra work may be required to finish the job.

Existing systems and risk

Existing conditions

Plumbing can hide pre-existing issues. We are not responsible for concealed defects, deteriorated piping, prior code violations, or problems not visible at inspection.

Water shutoff and valve failure

Existing shutoff valves may fail. We are not responsible for that failure. Replacing defective valves is extra.

System pressure and post-service failures

Restoring water can expose weak points in older systems. We are not responsible for failures in aging or pre-existing parts after service.

Fixture and valve operation

Operating existing valves or fixtures can cause failure from age or condition. We are not responsible for failure of existing components during normal service.

Water systems and shutoffs

We are not responsible for failures in existing plumbing when water is turned on or off, including leaks from aging or compromised parts.

Fragile fixtures

Aged or brittle fixtures may crack during removal or install. We are not responsible for failure of compromised fixtures.

Drains, cameras, and underground

Drain cleaning and sewer work

Drain cleaning carries risk from unknown pipe conditions. We are not responsible for broken or deteriorated lines, or equipment stuck in damaged piping. Extra work is at the customer’s expense.

Drain cleaning disclaimer

Drain cleaning is temporary and does not guarantee long-term results. Roots, breaks, or poor grading may still need repair or replacement.

Camera inspection limits

Cameras only show what is visible and accessible at the time of service. We are not responsible for issues outside that view.

Underground and unknown utilities

We are not responsible for damage to unknown or unmarked underground utilities. Locating is not included unless specified.

Site conditions and materials

Wall, floor, and property modifications

Work may require cutting walls, ceilings, floors, or concrete. Cosmetic repairs (drywall, paint, tile, flooring, cabinets, finishes) are not included.

Concrete and slab work

Concrete cutting and patching may not match existing finishes. We are not responsible for cosmetic match of repaired areas.

Hazardous materials

We do not handle or test for asbestos, lead, mold, or other hazardous materials. Work may stop if found. Remediation is others’ responsibility.

Mold and environmental conditions

We are not responsible for mold or environmental conditions from leaks, whether pre-existing or found during service.

Customer-supplied materials

No warranty on customer-supplied materials. We are not responsible for defects, failures, or compatibility issues with those items.

Parts availability and return visits

Some repairs need ordered parts. Return visits depend on availability and may cost extra unless stated otherwise.

Well systems and water conditions

We are not responsible for water quality, well performance, or pressure issues outside approved scope.

Freeze damage

We are not responsible for damage from freezing or lack of insulation after service.

Permits and code compliance

Permits are not included unless stated. Existing systems may not meet current code. Required upgrades are quoted separately.

Warranty, payment, and agreement

Warranty

1-year warranty on labor and materials we supply and install, unless stated otherwise. Does not cover misuse, neglect, normal wear, freezing, corrosion, or pre-existing issues.

Payment terms

Payment is due on completion unless agreed otherwise. Late payment may lead to fees, collections, or liens.

Scheduling and delays

We are not responsible for delays from weather, material shortages, or unforeseen conditions.

Limitation of liability

We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Liability is limited to the amount paid for the services provided.

Indemnification

You agree to hold MAX Plumbing harmless from claims related to pre-existing conditions or failures of existing systems.

Cancellations

Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur fees.

Agreement

Approving an estimate or invoice confirms acceptance of these terms.
