Water quality

Better water starts with MAX.

There is no universal water filter, because there is no universal water problem. Chlorine taste on city water, iron staining on a well, sediment after a main break, sulfur odor, hardness scaling your fixtures, each of those calls for different media and a different system design. Installing the wrong one wastes money and fixes nothing.

That is why every filtration project starts with testing. We test your water at no charge, walk you through what the results actually mean, and design a system around the conditions we measured and the outcome you care about. Sometimes that is a full multi-stage treatment train. Sometimes it is a single cartridge tank, and we will tell you when that is all you need.

We install Water-Right and Drop Connect systems, including whole-home filtration paired with real-time leak detection and app-controlled monitoring that can shut water off automatically when a leak is detected.

FAQ

Water Filtration Systems FAQs

Straight answers to what people ask us most about this service.

What is the difference between a water softener and a filtration system?

A softener targets hardness minerals, the calcium and magnesium that cause scale, spotting, and poor soap performance. A filtration system targets other conditions, sediment, chlorine, taste and odor, iron staining, and similar treatable contaminants. Many homes benefit from both, working in sequence.

Do I need filtration if I am on city water?

Winston-Salem and Forsyth municipal water is treated and relatively soft. Chlorine taste, odor, and sediment after line work are the usual city-water reasons to filter. Hardness is not a given. Testing tells you whether treatment is worth it for your tap.

How much maintenance does a filtration system need?

It depends on the system. Cartridge filters need periodic replacement; backwashing media tanks are largely automatic but should be checked annually. We cover the schedule at install, and filter changes can be bundled into the Annual Service Plan.

Is the water test really free?

Yes. Free water testing is a standing offer, and there is no obligation to buy anything based on the results.
