Does a tankless water heater really never run out of hot water?
It delivers hot water continuously, but at a limited flow rate. A correctly sized unit handles your household’s realistic peak demand; an undersized one will run cool when too many fixtures run at once. Sizing is the entire game.
How often does a tankless unit need descaling?
Roughly annually for most homes on relatively soft city water, and more often on wells or when a test shows hardness. If output has dropped or the unit is throwing scale-related codes, it is overdue.
Will I need a bigger gas line?
Frequently, yes. Tankless burners fire at far higher BTU input than a tank unit. We calculate the load and size the piping as part of the quote instead of treating it as a surprise change order.
